If you have made your booking on-line, you are able to make changes to your booking on-line up to 48 hours prior to arrival. You can cancel or modify your booking dates. Click on the 'here' link in your booking confirmation and quote your Booking Confirmation number and wola! Cancellation inside 48 hours will incur the cost of the first nights accommodation. Same day cancellations or 'No Show' will incur a charge of 50% of the total booking cost - ouch! There are no refunds once you arrive, or once your booking has commenced. Your room selection is your responsibility, so please double check. If you have made your booking over the phone, or have lost your booking confirmation, you must phone or email within the above timeframe. Simples really!
Peak Season Office hours. 01 June - 31 August 8am - 1pm & 4pm - 10pm. Offpeak Season Office Hours. 01 September - 30 April 10am - 3pm & 4pm- 10pm. The office will be temporarily unattended for very short periods throughout the day, while we make shuttle bus runs to the airport and town. If we are performing tasks on-site, we will leave a note on the door or signboard letting you know where to find us on the property:-) Free shuttle airport pickups are available for stays of two or more nights during office hours only. Our air-conditioning is controlled by timers and will automatically come on at 5.00pm in the evening and run through to 8.00am in the morning. To give you the cheapest price possible for an air-conditioned room in Broome, we needed to consider the most efficeint solution, and, this is to have the air-conditioning running free-of-charge during the night when you are trying to sleep. We find that this works extremely well for our guests, as most of you are out exploring and enjoying Broome's beautiful beaches and surrounds during the day and only require air-conditioning when trying to sleep at night!
Cable Beach Backpackers is a licensed premises. We have a great, fully stocked bar so there’s no need to bring your own alcohol. In fact, it’s against the law to bring your own alcohol onto a licensed premises and anyone found doing so, will be asked to leave.
As mentioned, we have a bar. It’s lively and social & where you can meet, mix & mingle with people from all over the world. Please expect some noise up until the bar closes at 10pm. We ask that all guests keep noise down to a minimum after 11pm for the consideration of others and neighboring properties. *Important* A backpackers is based on communal shared living, so please bear in mind when sharing a room with several others, there’s bound to be interruptions and noise with people checking in and out, moving around and arriving ‘home’ after they have been out. We have a full-time cleaner to clean the shared facilities every morning of every day! He is basically super-human and does a great job. Please if for any reason you have a problem with the cleaning, just mention it to us and we will try out best to tend to your concern. As you can appreciate with shared facilities we rely on guests to clean up after themselves in the kitchen but unfortunately this does not always happen. Please be mindful of your fellow travelers and help us keep the peace!
We don’t like them but we definitely do respect them. If for any reason at all you are unhappy with our service, or hostel, please come to reception and see us or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We are extremely approachable and will do our best to solve your problem given the chance.
